Employee Group Benefits
The employee benefits program for businesses with 2-19 full time
employees who work at least 25 hours per week and 45 weeks per year.
For those groups, two employee classes may be created (subject to
underwriting guidelines).
Small businesses with two to nine employees and businesses with
10-19 employees, where the employer pays 100% of the premium, must
have 100% employee participation.
Businesses with 10-19 employees where the employer pays less than
100% of the premium, must have a minimum of 75% employee participation.
Employees may waive extended health care and/or dental care benefits
if they are covered under a spousal benefit program. The number
of waivers is limited to one waiver per employee group participating
in extended health care and/or dental care benefits.
